Two Dead, Three Injured in Downtown Minneapolis Shooting

Police respond to multiple fights and gunfire early Saturday, arrest one suspect.

The shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. Saturday near N. 5th Street and Hennepin Avenue.
Victims include two men, ages 20 and 21, who died at the hospital, and three others with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of inciting a riot, and a firearm was recovered at the scene.
The incident is part of a broader pattern of violence in Minneapolis, with two other shootings reported early Saturday.
Police will increase patrols downtown in collaboration with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office and Metro Transit Police.
