Two Dead After SUV Strikes Tree on U.S. 12 in Lenawee County

• The crash occurred around 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, near Wisner Highway in Franklin Township, Michigan.
• An 85-year-old Brooklyn man driving a Chevrolet Trax eastbound left the roadway and struck a tree, according to state police.
• The driver was taken to ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital in Adrian, where he was pronounced dead.
• His passenger, a 77-year-old woman from Jackson, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
