Overview
- LMPD responded just after 8 p.m. Friday to the 10300 block of Preston Highway near Maple Spring Drive in the Okolona area.
- The northbound motorcyclist collided with the car that entered the lane, and the rider was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
- A third vehicle traveling north then struck the initial crash, and two adults from the vehicles were taken to University of Louisville Hospital.
- Police said Saturday that a man in his 80s died at the hospital from his injuries, while the other injured person is expected to fully recover.
- Preston Highway was closed during the response, and the LMPD Traffic Unit is leading the investigation.
