Overview
- On August 1 at around 4:20 pm two coaches of the Muzaffarpur–Sabarmati Jan Sadharan Express derailed near Bhaupur Yard between Kanpur and Tundla.
- The train’s sixth and seventh coaches came off the tracks while entering a loop line at slow speed, preventing any casualties.
- Officials reported that all passengers were unharmed and safely evacuated from the derailed coaches.
- The blockage disrupted services on the busy corridor, leading to cancellations and diversions of several trains.
