Two Clandestine Labs Seized in Culiacán as Forces Net Major Meth, Fentanyl and Precursors

The haul caps a joint operation that transferred all seized materials to the FGR for destruction.

  • Authorities reported seizing in Culiacán more than 500 kilograms and 130 liters of methamphetamine, plus 23 kilograms and 211,000 fentanyl pills.
  • An interagency team found two labs in the Corral Viejo and El Espinal areas with reactors, distillers and over 5,000 liters of hazardous chemicals, all secured for disposal.
  • Security forces also dismantled a separate site containing more than 3,400 liters and one ton of chemical precursors, according to the SSPC.
  • In Cosalá, personnel destroyed a concentration area holding 1,550 liters and 275 kilograms of chemical substances.
  • The SSPC valued the seizures at more than 246 million pesos, noted the operation involved Defense, Navy, FGR, National Guard and state forces, and urged anonymous tips to 089 or emergencies to 911.
