Two Chicago Shootings Leave Men Wounded as Police Seek Suspects

Police circulated a Rogers Park lookout after the attack that raised the neighborhood’s shooting tally to 16.

  • A 32-year-old was found on the Howard CTA platform around 10:23 p.m. Sunday with a gunshot wound to his mouth and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in fair condition.
  • Officers were told to look for four people tied to the Rogers Park shooting, described as Black males about 17 to 20 years old, 5-foot-7 to 6 feet tall, including one in a red mask and others in black and white shirts.
  • Sunday’s Rogers Park case brought the neighborhood’s 2025 shooting victim count to 16, one more than this point last year.
  • In a separate incident late Saturday in East Garfield Park, a 44-year-old was shot in the ankle during a struggle with an armed robber on the 3100 block of West Madison Street and later self-transported to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
  • No arrests have been announced, with Area Four detectives handling the West Side robbery shooting and CPD investigating the Rogers Park case.
