Overview
- Police were called to the Viewley Centre in Hemlington shortly before 10pm on Thursday after reports of a stabbing that injured a man.
- Armed officers and North East Ambulance Service crews attended the scene and the victim was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
- Cleveland Police initially arrested a 32-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.
- By Saturday two men, aged 32 and 24, had been charged with attempted murder while the 37-year-old woman was questioned and released on bail pending further enquiries.
- Several cordons remain in place, local officers and PCSOs are providing reassurance, and police have asked anyone with information or footage to call 101 quoting reference 129308 or contact Crimestoppers.
