Two Charged After Climbing Tower at Metallica’s Perth Show

Police say the trespassing case now moves to court following the Optus Stadium incident.

  • The men, a 20-year-old from Carey Park and a 23-year-old from Australind, were removed from the venue and are due to appear in court.

  • Police conducting pre-show screening also seized a small fold-up knife from a 19-year-old outside the venue, with no charges laid.
  • Organizers reported more than 60,000 tickets sold for Metallica’s Perth stop, the band’s first Australian show since 2013, with further dates set for Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland.
