Overview
- Rabbi Yechiel Michel Vishedsky, 84, a Kfar Chabad mashpia who sustained Chassidus under Soviet repression and later studied in Tomchei Tmimim and at 770, passed away on the first night of Rosh Hashana 5786.
- Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Kalmanson, 70, the longtime rosh yeshiva who founded and led Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo in New Haven and authored respected Torah works, also died suddenly that night.
