Overview
- Sashastra Seema Bal and Uttar Pradesh Police intercepted the man and woman at the Rupaideha checkpost after they crossed from Nepal.

- Both claimed to be medical professionals who had traveled to Nepalganj on a hospital’s invitation but failed to give a satisfactory explanation for entering India without proper documents.
- Police registered a case under the Passport Act, 1967, arrested the pair, and said they were being produced before a court as investigations examine their identities, backgrounds and motives.
