Overview

• Attapur police and the Special Operations Team conducted a joint operation on Thursday to detain Mohammed Saifuddin alias Faizan, 24, and Mohammed Zabi, 19.
• Investigators identified the victim as 23-year-old Saif Ahmed Khan, who was attacked near Arsh Mahal Eidgah on the morning of September 3.
• Khan was taken to Osmania General Hospital and died later that night at about 11:52 pm, according to police accounts.
• Officers said they recovered the suspected knife used in the attack, a two-wheeler and two mobile phones during the arrests.
• Officials reported that Zabi stabbed first before handing the knife to Faizan, who then inflicted multiple wounds, and both have been booked on murder charges as inquiries continue.
