Two Arrested in Port Huron Township After Traffic Stop and Home Search Uncover Drugs and a Gun

  • Authorities say 59-year-old Larenza Richey of Detroit was stopped Jan. 14 near the I-94 connector and 32nd Street and was found to be driving without a valid license.
  • Investigators reported seizing 26 grams of crack cocaine, 6 grams of powder cocaine, 8 grams of heroin, and a large amount of cash concealed in a child’s car seat during the vehicle search.
  • Richey was arraigned in 72nd District Court on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, using a computer to commit a crime, and maintaining a drug house, with bond set at $25,000 cash or surety.
  • In a separate case the same day, task force members executed a search warrant at a home on the 1400 block of 27th Street after arresting resident Scott Shreeve, 45, during a traffic stop.
  • Officers say the home search yielded 144 grams of methamphetamine, prescription pills, ketamine, a digital scale, drug paraphernalia, and a 20-gauge shotgun; Shreeve was arraigned Jan. 16 on three felony possession counts with bond set at $50,000 cash or surety.
