Overview
- Kalpana, 25, was shot in the abdomen inside a club on MG Road around 12:30–1:00 am on December 20 and remains hospitalized after surgery.
- Police arrested Tushar alias Jonty, 25, and Shubham alias Johnny, 24, on December 25 in Baraut, Baghpat; both are residents of Sangam Vihar, Delhi.
- Investigators say Tushar had pursued the married woman for about six months and, upon another refusal that night, allegedly opened fire at close range.
- Officers now say Tushar previously fired at the couple’s residence and even trailed and shot at the husband the next morning, though no injuries were reported.
- An FIR for attempted murder and Arms Act offenses was filed at DLF Sector 29; the pair are on police remand, the pistol is yet to be recovered, and a suspected supplier has been identified.
