Two Arrested in Counterfeit $100 Scheme Targeting In-N-Outs in LA and Orange Counties

Detectives released images of the fake bills, urging victims to report additional cases.

  • Lewis was arrested Oct. 30 in Palmdale with counterfeit bills that matched those used in the Glendale case, along with gift cards and receipts tied to suspected fraud.
  • Foster was arrested Dec. 15; Lewis has been charged with felony counterfeiting and grand theft and was released on a court order, while Foster’s initial court date is set for Jan. 20.
  • Police shared photos of the counterfeit $100s and receipts showing small purchases paid with $100 bills and asked anyone with information to call 818-548-4840.
