Two Arrested in ₹8.71 Lakh Chief Minister Relief Fund Fraud
Theft of relief fund cheques from a vacated minister’s office enabled the fraud scheme, police say.

- Jogula Naresh Kumar, a former data entry operator in a minister’s camp office, and Balagoni Venkatesh, an MPDO subordinate, were arrested on July 16 by Jubilee Hills police.
- Officers allege the pair seized 230 undisbursed Chief Minister Relief Fund cheques and enlisted accomplices to submit forged beneficiary claims.
- The operation siphoned Rs.8.71 lakh by depositing funds for 19 inactive beneficiaries at a nationalised bank branch in Jubilee Hills.
