Two Arrested for Theft of Veteran Burial Markers in Indiana

Suspects face multiple felony charges after allegedly stealing bronze markers from six cemeteries across La Porte County.

Terry Wood, 53, and Breanna Puentez, 25, are accused of stealing at least 15 bronze veteran markers.
The thefts occurred at cemeteries in Union Mills, Rolling Prairie, Carmel, Pinola, Greenwood, and St. Stan's.
The La Porte County Sheriff's Office launched 'Justice, Peace and Salute' operation leading to the arrests.
Wood is held on a $15,005 cash-only bond; Puentez is not eligible for bond due to previous violations.
Authorities hope the arrests bring peace and comfort to veterans and their families.
