Overview
- Cambridgeshire Police received the first 999 call at 7:39pm after the attack began shortly after the LNER service left Peterborough, and armed officers halted the train at Huntingdon.
- The East of England Ambulance Service transported multiple patients to hospital and deployed Hazardous Area Response teams along with East Anglian and Essex & Herts air ambulances.
- LNER issued a “Do Not Travel” advisory as all lines through Huntingdon were blocked, with National Rail warning of major disruption and Thameslink directing passengers to alternative routes.
