Overview

  • Officers were called just before 11.20pm on August 1 to a disturbance between two men at the Oxton Bar and Kitchen car park
  • The suspects drove a Mercedes through the car park gate and into nearby bystanders after a fight, causing significant property damage
  • A 21-year-old and a 26-year-old from Wirral remain in custody on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, dangerous driving, criminal damage and affray
  • No victims have come forward and inquiries with local hospitals have yet to identify anyone reporting injuries
  • Detective Inspector Sarah Wilkinson has urged anyone with phone, CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Merseyside Police or Crimestoppers
