Two 18-Year-Olds Charged in Mass Firearms School Burglary With Third Suspect at Large

One defendant is held pending a dangerousness hearing, with the other awaiting extradition from Florida.

  • Jason Liberis of Oxford and Bryan Ayala Perez of Johnston, R.I., were charged with nighttime breaking and entering, breaking and entering from a firearms dealer, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a large-capacity weapon, and conspiracy.
  • Liberis was arrested at his Oxford home and arraigned in Framingham District Court, where he was ordered held pending a Nov. 24 dangerousness hearing.
  • Ayala Perez was taken into custody in Palm Springs, Florida, and is expected to be extradited to Massachusetts for arraignment.
  • Authorities say three masked suspects smashed the front door of the Holliston business at about 11:19 p.m. on Oct. 30 and stole two semi-automatic rifles captured on surveillance video.
  • Investigators report the trio fled in a car stolen from a Johnston, R.I., convenience store lot; the rifles have not been recovered and the multi-agency probe includes Holliston and state police, the Middlesex DA’s office, and the ATF.
