Two 18-Year-Olds Charged in Fortitude Valley Stabbing of Good Samaritan

The 27-year-old French national remains in critical condition after intervening in a fight near the Prince Consort Hotel in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

  • Police allege the pair stabbed the man multiple times in the chest at about 3.40 am on Friday while he broke up an altercation on Brunswick and Wickham streets.
  • Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics found the victim in a life-threatening condition and rushed him to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
  • Both suspects were arrested nearby on Costin Street after fleeing the scene and have been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, assault and carrying a knife.
