Two 16-Year-Olds Charged After WA Officer Seriously Injured in Alleged Ellenbrook Car Dragging

Both are scheduled to appear in Perth Children’s Court today.

  • Around 10:05pm, officers found the stationary Prado at The Promenade and Main Street in Ellenbrook and opened the driver’s door to direct the driver out.
  • The driver allegedly accelerated, dragging an officer along the road before the vehicle stopped and the officer fell, prompting first aid by St John WA and transport to hospital with serious injuries.
  • The Embleton teen accused of driving faces charges including aggravated home burglary, stealing a motor vehicle, assaulting a public officer, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, failing to stop, and possessing an edged weapon.
  • The Thornlie teen was charged with aggravated home burglary, stealing, stealing a motor vehicle, and assaulting a public officer, and both were arrested at the scene.
