Two 15-Year-Olds Charged in Regina's Sixth Homicide of 2024

The teens face second-degree murder charges following the fatal stabbing of a 30-year-old man on December 26.

Charles Russell Thompson, 30, was found with stab wounds on December 26 near 8th Avenue and Retallack Street in Regina and died at the scene despite life-saving efforts.
The Regina Police Service launched an investigation involving multiple units, leading to the arrest of two 15-year-old boys on December 27.
Both teens have been charged with second-degree murder and failure to comply with release orders, with one also facing a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.
Due to their age, the identities of the accused cannot be disclosed under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The suspects are scheduled to make their first court appearance in Regina Youth Court on Monday, December 30.
