Twitch's Cindy Charles Dies in Amsterdam Accident at 69

The head of music at Twitch was killed after being struck by a garbage truck while visiting Amsterdam for a music event.

Cindy Charles, Twitch's Head of Music, died in a traffic accident in Amsterdam on October 14, 2024.
Charles was in Amsterdam to speak at the Amsterdam Dance Event and was hit by a garbage truck near the Passeerdersgracht canal.
Twitch CEO Daniel Clancy praised her for her pivotal role in negotiating music licensing agreements with major record labels.
Charles had a long career in the music industry, including roles at Amazon, Viacom, and as an advisor to the Recording Academy.
She is survived by her husband Ricky Fishman, her son Ben Charles, and her stepson Sam Fishman.
