Twitch, the popular live-streaming platform, has reversed its policy allowing 'artistic nudity' just two days after its implementation.
The policy change was initially made to accommodate the platform's artist community, but was quickly exploited with explicit content that violated the new policy.
Twitch CEO, Dan Clancy, cited the challenge of AI-generated images, which can create realistic depictions of nudity, as a reason for the reversal.
Despite the reversal on 'artistic nudity', several changes to Twitch's sexual content rules remain in effect, including allowing content that 'deliberately highlights breasts, buttocks or pelvic region'.
Clancy apologized for the confusion caused by the policy change and emphasized the company's commitment to making adjustments that serve the community.
