Twitch Expands Monetization Tools to Most Streamers in 2025

Previously, streamers had to meet specific criteria, such as reaching 50 followers and maintaining an average of three concurrent viewers, to qualify for monetization as Affiliates or Partners.
Twitch is introducing a feature that allows streamers to use their earnings for purchases within the platform, though details remain limited.
New collaborative revenue opportunities, such as 'Shared Hype Trains,' will enable streamers to earn while participating in joint streams or shared chat sessions.
The platform is also enhancing its mobile experience with vertical video options and real-time editing tools for Clips, alongside a controversial 100-hour storage cap for highlights starting April 19.
