Twins Shortstop Undergoes Surgery After Fastball Fractures Jaw and Realigns Teeth

Kyle Farmer, the Twins shortstop, was hit in the face by a 92 mph fastball, fracturing his jaw and realigning four teeth.
Farmer was immediately removed from the game and diagnosed with no other serious injury besides the fractured jaw and misaligned teeth.
He was scheduled for oral surgery to repair the damage from the pitch that knocked him to the ground.
The Twins have replaced Farmer and have not yet announced when he will return to play.
