Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has suggested that Jenna Ortega and Jacob Elordi would be 'perfect' for the roles of Bella and Edward in a potential reboot of the franchise.
Hardwicke's comments came during a watch-along of the original 2008 Twilight film on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Lionsgate is developing a Twilight television series, with author Stephenie Meyer reportedly involved.
Both Ortega and Elordi are already enjoying successful careers, with Ortega known for her roles in the Scream reboot trilogy and the Addams Family, and Elordi for his roles in Saltburn and Priscilla.
Hardwicke also revealed that she recently attended Robert Pattinson's birthday party, where she had a surprise reunion with Kristen Stewart, the original Bella.
