Twila Kilgore Steps Down from USWNT to Pursue New Coaching Opportunities

Kilgore, who led the team to multiple victories during her interim tenure, leaves after serving as assistant coach under Emma Hayes.

Twila Kilgore served as interim head coach of the U.S. women's national team (USWNT) from August 2023 to May 2024.
Under Kilgore's leadership, the USWNT won the CONCACAF W Gold Cup and the SheBelieves Cup and had a record of 10-2-1.
Emma Hayes took over as the full-time head coach in May 2024, leading the team to a gold medal at the Paris Olympics
Kilgore continued as an assistant coach under Hayes before announcing her departure to explore other coaching opportunities.
Kilgore has extensive coaching experience, including roles with the Houston Dash, UC Davis, and various U.S. youth national teams.
