Overview
- TVS has officially set the India launch of the RTX 300 for October 15, following media invites for the event.
- As the brand's first adventure motorcycle, the RTX 300 debuts TVS's new ~299cc RT-XD4/RTX D4 single-cylinder engine rated around 35 hp and 28.5 Nm with a 6-speed gearbox.
- The bike uses a steel trellis frame shared with the RR 310 and RTR 310 and is positioned as a road-biased tourer with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels.
- Hardware and electronics reported include long-travel USD forks, a rear monoshock, dual-channel ABS, a 5-inch TFT with Bluetooth, navigation, ride modes, traction control and cruise control.
- Analysts expect an ex-showroom price near Rs 2.6–2.8 lakh, placing it against KTM's 250/390 Adventure variants, BMW G 310 GS, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and Yezdi Adventure.
