Turkmenistan players Erkin Kakabayev, Arslan Geldimyradov, and Begench Dovletmyradov physically attacked Hong Kong players, with punches thrown and one helmet knocked off.
Three Hong Kong players were injured, two of whom were taken to the hospital for evaluation but were later deemed fit to continue competing.
The International Ice Hockey Federation and the Olympic Council of Asia have suspended the three Turkmenistan players involved and expelled them from the Games.
Hong Kong officials have condemned the attack as a deliberate act of aggression and are seeking further disciplinary actions against the offenders.
