Tulum Energy Secures $27 Million to Build Turquoise Hydrogen Pilot in Mexico

The pilot will validate methane pyrolysis at Ternium’s Nuevo León site to pave the way for a larger commercial rollout.

  • CDP Venture Capital’s Green Transition Fund and TDK Ventures led the $27 million financing round, joined by TechEnergy Ventures, MITO Tech Ventures and Doral Energy-Tech Ventures.
  • Construction has commenced on a methane pyrolysis plant at Ternium’s Pesquería complex to produce turquoise hydrogen and solid carbon without CO₂ emissions.
