Overview

• Three ROTC engineering cadets completed Tulsa District rotations in mid‑August, with reported finish dates including Aug. 16 for Michael Cyrul and Aug. 21 for Dominic Booth.
• Cadets toured Keystone Dam and the Robert S. Kerr Powerhouse and Lock 15, observing hydropower generation and lock operations on the McClellan‑Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System.
• At Robert S. Kerr, the powerhouse’s four turbines were described as capable of up to 36.8 megawatts each, illustrating the scale of USACE hydropower operations.
• Interns visited resident offices at Tinker Air Force Base and Fort Sill to learn how the district delivers engineering, design and construction services for military customers.
• Capt. Sumin Hong said the goal was to show what USACE does and what to expect as Army Engineer Officers, with cadets citing lessons on project management, emergency response and river system water‑release coordination.
