- Tulio Crespi died at age 88 after a more than 60-year career building, designing and racing bespoke competition cars from his workshops in Buenos Aires and later from a factory on Route 226 in Balcarce.
- Before his death he published a farewell letter asking to be remembered for his life and work rather than his final illness and confirmed that he was leaving the factory to his children to continue the family business.
- The Crespi family firm has built thousands of vehicles for Argentine categories such as Fórmula Renault, Turismo Carretera and TC2000, with the family reporting more than 2,000 cars produced over its history.
- Crespi’s shop gained renewed international attention after he and his children built 22 full-scale, mechanically capable replicas used in Netflix’s series 'Senna', a project that required real chassis, suspensions, brakes and engines for filming.
- His career began with small, hand-built monopostos and notable models like the Tulia 1 and the Petiso-Torino, and his apprenticeships and chassis production helped train generations of Argentine drivers and technicians.
