Tulane Star RB Makhi Hughes Enters Transfer Portal

The two-time All-AAC running back, ranked among the top rushers in college football, has two years of eligibility remaining.

Makhi Hughes, Tulane's standout running back, has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to ESPN reports.
Hughes, a redshirt sophomore, rushed for 1,401 yards and scored 17 total touchdowns in the 2024 season, ranking ninth among FBS running backs.
He earned first-team All-AAC honors in both 2023 and 2024 and was named AAC Rookie of the Year in 2023 after a breakout season with 1,378 rushing yards.
The Green Wave, who reached their third consecutive AAC title game this season, have now lost 12 scholarship players to the transfer portal this month.
Hughes is expected to be one of the most sought-after players in the transfer portal, with all eight running backs ahead of him in rushing yards this season heading to the NFL.
