Tui Raises Profit Outlook on Hotel and Cruise Strength, Cuts Revenue Forecast

Tui lifted its currency-adjusted EBIT guidance to 9–11 percent on the strength of record margins in its hotel & cruise segments, cutting its revenue-growth outlook to about 5 percent for the fiscal year.

Overview

  • The group now expects currency-adjusted EBIT growth of 9–11 percent for the year, raised from its prior guidance of 7–10 percent.
  • Revenue-growth forecasts have been cut to about 5 percent from an earlier projection of up to 10 percent.
  • Nine-month results show revenue of €14.8 billion and adjusted EBIT of €165 million, reflecting a €115 million year-on-year increase in operating profit.
  • Record margins in Tui’s owned hotel & cruise segments drove the profit upgrade, offsetting persistent pressure in its package-travel unit.
  • Tui will publish its full third-quarter figures and host an analyst and journalist Q&A session Wednesday to provide more granular segment and margin insights.
