Overview

  • TUI allows passengers to bring low-risk cold foods such as pre-made sandwiches and snacks but only heats baby bottles and requires onboard purchase of alcohol.
  • easyJet passengers may carry their own food with a 100 ml limit for liquid items and can bring hot drinks only if bought at the airport and sealed with a secure lid.
  • Ryanair’s feel free policy permits food and soft drinks but prohibits personal hot beverages and alcohol during flights.
  • Jet2 disallows any hot food or hot drinks and bars items deemed heavy, perishable, fragile or strongly odorous.
  • All four carriers require compliance with EU rules that ban any meat or dairy products in hand luggage regardless of packaging origin.
