Tucson Man Convicted of Second-Degree Murder of Deputy U.S. Marshal
Ryan Schlesinger found guilty on multiple charges, sentencing set for January 2024
- Ryan Schlesinger, 31, has been convicted of second-degree murder and other charges in relation to the 2018 killing of Deputy U.S. Marshal Chase White.
- Schlesinger was also found guilty of three counts of attempted murder of a federal officer, four counts of assault of a federal officer, and five counts of discharging a firearm during the commission of a violent offense.
- The incident occurred when deputies attempted to serve a felony arrest warrant on Schlesinger for allegedly stalking a Tucson Police Department sergeant.
- Schlesinger, who was wearing body armor, opened fire on the deputies, killing Deputy White.
- Schlesinger's sentencing is set for January 22, 2024.
