Tube Delays Ease but Rail Fault and M4 Breakdown Hit London Commute

Overview

  • Bakerloo and Central line services have largely recovered from recent faults, with only minor delays reported this morning.
  • An electricity supply failure between Drayton Park and Moorgate forced National Rail to suspend services and revise timetables until about 8:00.
  • A broken-down vehicle on the M4 eastbound between junctions J3 and J2 has closed the right lane and is causing delays of up to 40 minutes until around 8:30.
  • Congestion on the M25 anticlockwise entry slip at junction 19 is adding up to 10 minutes of delay, with normal conditions expected by 7:30.
  • Passengers affected by the Drayton ParkMoorgate suspension can use London Underground, bus, Great Northern and Thameslink services at no extra cost.
