TTC Rolls Out TMU Station Signage at Former Dundas Stop Ahead of December Rebrand

The rebrand is tied to a TTC–TMU partnership in which the university pays for the change.

Overview

  • Temporary “TMU” panels and signs reading “TMU: Dundas Street” are now up across the station as the transition begins.
  • Updated TTC maps have been installed systemwide, labeling the stop as TMU with “formerly Dundas” in fine print to reduce confusion.
  • The TTC says these signs are temporary and that a full station rebranding, including new wall tiles, is expected to roll out next month.
  • A TTC spokesperson said the official launch will likely occur in December, following a board vote in the spring to approve the renaming.
  • TMU will cover the renaming costs under the Transit Innovation Yard partnership, part of a broader city effort that has already seen Yonge–Dundas Square renamed Sankofa Square.
