Overview

  • An 8.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula on July 30, prompting tsunami warnings across Japan and evacuation orders in coastal areas from Hawaii to the U.S. West Coast.
  • FromSoftware postponed Patch 1.02 by 24 hours, moving its release from July 30 to July 31 after 10:00 CEST (1:00 PDT, 5:00 PM JST).
  • Patch 1.02 will introduce an official two-player Duos mode, allowing pairs of players to tackle Nightreign’s roguelite challenges without recruiting a third.
  • The second phase of the King of the Evernight live-boss event has been rescheduled to begin only after the delayed patch goes live.
  • Since its May 30 launch, Nightreign has surpassed sales and concurrent-user expectations and received multiple balance and quality-of-life updates driven by player feedback and modding.
