Overview

  • Tsuda Gakuen edged Tsu Commercial 1–0 in the Mie final to claim its third title in six years and secure Mie’s entry to the 107th National High School Baseball Championship.
  • Kochi Chuo rallied past Meitoku Gijuku 3–2 in Kochi’s title game, booking its second summer Koshien appearance in two years.
  • Hiroshima’s Kōryō defeated Sutoku 2–1 in a 10-inning tiebreaker to capture a third straight prefectural crown and notch its 26th overall berth.
  • In Nagasaki, Kyushu Bunka Gakuen upset Nagasaki Nihon University in extra innings to reach its first final, where it will face Sōseikan on July 27 for the prefecture’s Koshien spot.
  • Prefectural finals in Gifu, Okayama, Hyōgo, Kagawa and Nara are scheduled July 27–28 to complete the field for the August 5 national championship opener at Hanshin Koshien Stadium.
