Overview
- On July 11 around 8:10 p.m., Isaac Jasper Robinson and Tyler Martinez clashed in the 4460 Mac apartment complex garage when a woman handed Robinson a firearm
- Martinez, 24, who played defensive tackle for Texas Southern University from 2019 to 2023, was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene
- Robinson, 22, initially fled but returned to confess to Houston police and was arrested on a first-degree murder charge
- During a July 12 hearing, Judge Veronica M. Nelson set Robinson’s bond at $150,000 and imposed a 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew, GPS monitoring, and restrictions on weapons and substances
- Robinson remains in custody awaiting further court proceedings as the Houston Police Department continues investigating the bystander’s role in supplying the weapon
