TSMC Developing 1.4nm Chips, 2nm Chips on Track for 2025

Despite competition, TSMC assures of 'healthy' growth in 2024

TSMC, the world's leading semiconductor manufacturer, is developing 1.4nm chips, confusingly named A14, which are expected to arrive around 2027.
The company's 2nm chips, expected to be used in the iPhone 17 Pro, are on track for mass production in 2025.
TSMC has already demonstrated its 2nm chip prototypes to its biggest customers, including Apple and Nvidia.
TSMC's chairman, Dr. Mark Liu, has assured the media of the company's 'healthy' growth in 2024, despite competition from Samsung's similar products.
Despite the ongoing development of these smaller processes, TSMC has not disclosed when it plans to start high-volume manufacturing of the A14 chips.
