TSE Will Allow e‑Título Downloads and First‑Time Activation on Election Days

Upgraded infrastructure backed by a TSE readiness team is intended to keep the e‑Título stable through Oct. 25.

Overview

  • The Tribunal Superior Eleitoral announced on Thursday, Sept. 24 that voters may download and perform the first access to the e‑Título app on voting days for the 1st round (Oct. 4) and, if needed, the 2nd round (Oct. 25).
  • The change reverses prior practice of blocking day‑of first access to avoid overload and follows TSE work to expand server capacity and prepare a continuous monitoring 'sala de prontidão'.
  • First access requires downloading the free iOS or Android app, entering personal data (full name, birth date, CPF or voter number, parents' names), answering security questions, creating a password, and completing facial validation on each access.
  • Only the in‑app e‑Título that displays the voter’s photograph and biometric registration is accepted alone as ID at polling places and screenshots of the app are invalid, so voters without a photo must bring another official photo ID.
  • The new app also issues electoral certificates, lets voters justify absence, register as volunteer poll workers, pay electoral debts by Pix or card, and receive notifications, and the TSE still recommends activating the app before Oct. 3 to avoid concentrated demand on election day.
