TSE Reopens Electoral Register Nationwide

Restoring online, in-person, app services lets voters update records, request first-time titles and obtain free proof of voting status used for public jobs, passports or school enrolment.

Overview

  • The Justice Electoral system reopened the national voter register on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, restoring full access to registration, transfers, updates and regularization after the May closure for the elections.
  • Voters can use the TSE Autoatendimento portal or the e‑Título app to file requests or go to cartórios, centrals and local posts for in-person service with local hours and scheduling set by each TRE.
  • Some states set different calendars for in-person service, with Maranhão resuming face-to-face atendimento on Wednesday, November 4, because of a local public holiday.
  • First-time registration requests started online require the applicant to appear at a TRE office within 30 days for biometric collection or the online request will be automatically canceled.
  • The free certidão de quitação eleitoral is again available on the TSE portal and serves as proof of voting regularity often required for public office, contests, passport issuance and school enrollment.
