TSE Allows e‑Título Download and First Activation on Voting Days

Overview

• The TSE announced the change on Thursday, Sept. 24, and confirmed the e‑Título can be downloaded and activated on voting days for the first round on Oct. 4 and the second round on Oct. 25.
• First access requires the voter to download the official app (iOS or Android), enter exact personal data used with the electoral registry, answer security questions, create a password and complete facial validation.
• The e‑Título version that displays a voter photo is accepted as official ID at the polling station but screenshots of the app are not allowed and will be rejected.
• The updated app adds services such as issuing electoral certificates, justifying absence, registering as a poll worker and paying electoral debts by Pix or card, and the TSE will keep a readiness room on alert through Oct. 25 to monitor performance.
• The court strongly recommends voters install and validate the app before voting to avoid high demand on election day and reminds voters that phones cannot go into the voting booth and that suspended registrations remain ineligible to vote.
