TSE Allows e-Título Download and First Activation on Voting Days

Overview

• The TSE announced on Thursday, Sept. 24 that voters will be able to download and perform first-time activation of the e-Título app on the first-round vote on Oct. 4 and on Oct. 25 where a runoff occurs.
• First access requires exact personal data (full name, date of birth, CPF or voter number, parents' names), answers to security questions and a password, and the app will use facial validation on every access.
• Only an e-Título that shows the voter’s photo inside the app will serve as sole ID at the polling place; screenshots of the app screen will not be accepted and other official photo IDs remain valid.
• The updated app centralizes services such as certificates, absence justification, mesário volunteer registration and payment of electoral debts by Pix or card, while push notifications let Justiça Eleitoral communicate directly with users.
• The TSE says infrastructure was strengthened and a monitoring 'sala de prontidão' will operate through Oct. 25, but it still urges voters to download and validate the app before election day and notes that people with suspended registrations can access the app but remain barred from voting.
