TSA Finds Live Turtle Hidden in Traveler's Pants at Newark Airport

The man, a resident of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, revealed a live red-ear slider turtle wrapped in a blue towel during a pat-down by TSA officers.
The red-ear slider turtle, a popular pet species but considered invasive, measured approximately five inches in length and appeared unharmed.
Port Authority Police confiscated the turtle and indicated they would involve the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and local animal control officials.
