TSA Debuts ‘Families on the Fly’ Lanes at Orlando Airport

The program offers dedicated checkpoints to cut wait times for families traveling with children age 12 and under.

Overview

  • Orlando International now features 'Families on the Fly' lanes at every security checkpoint to reduce stress for parents with young children
  • Charlotte-Douglas International, John Wayne Airport Orange County and Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye Airport have joined the initiative with more airports slated to participate
  • Participating families receive discounted TSA PreCheck fees while active-duty military and their dependents can use Honor Lanes and obtain free PreCheck with a DOD ID
  • Travelers do not need special enrollment—signage directs families to lanes where TSA officers assist with strollers, car seats and extra bags
  • TSA Cares remains available to provide personalized support for passengers with disabilities or medical needs as part of a broader screening modernization
