- Tuesday, September 30 marks the fifth National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a federal statutory holiday that is also a provincially legislated stat in British Columbia.
- TransLink will run buses, SeaBus and SkyTrain on a Sunday/holiday schedule with 1‑Zone holiday fares across all zones, and the West Coast Express will not operate.
- TransLink’s Customer Service Centre, Access Transit Customer Care and Lost Property Office will be closed for the holiday.
- Government offices including Canada Post and City Hall, banks, ICBC and most public libraries will be closed in Vancouver, with the Carnegie Branch remaining open.
- Select attractions plan special hours, including Science World, Vancouver Aquarium and the Museum of Vancouver, while Indigenous-led events across the region include Semiahmoo First Nation’s walk, cedar weaving at Trout Lake supporting the Indian Residential School Survivors Society, and programming at MONOVA.
